Bullying at South Bay? Not Much, According to Students
By Savannah Diosdado - October 10, 2013
What do you think of bullying? Why do you think about bullying? How do you think we could prevent it? Think: Why do people bully others? Do you think there is bullying happening at your school?
The South Bay Anchor interviewed several students in the middle school to hear their thoughts.
Katherine Leahy, 8th grade: “ I think bullying is totally unacceptable and it’s a low thing to do and it never feels good to be on the receiving side. I disagree with bullying because I have been bullied before and I didn’t like it. If kids wouldn’t just stand by and laugh. It would be better if other kids would actually step in and say something. I think people bully others because they wanna feel superior or they don’t like the kid”.
Gracelynn Trump, 8th grade: “It seems a lot better than last year because some of the 8th graders were mean. I haven’t really seen any bullying this year.”
Arianna Giovannetti, 7th grade:“ It is a terrible thing really, in reality people may pick it up from at home from their parents fighting or feel the power to control others.”
Well there you have it folks, that is what bullying is like at South Bay so far.
