Katie King: Editor In Chief
Mrs. King has been the hard working leader of the newspaper, and is wonderful at her job. "I'm excited to expand the newspaper and try some new ideas, and I think we have a great staff this trimester." she says, excited to get back to instructing our crew.

a hard worker, and one of our old hands from last trimester. She has written several stories and opinion pieces, such as "7th Grade Fashion" or a book review for Flipped. When asked for her thoughts on how she could improve this trimester on the newspaper, she says this. " I think that I could try to write with more details and more research for myself to improve."

Catherine Holper
A new girl at this school, and a new girl in the newspaper committee, Catherine Holper is a hardworking person and student, and is fully prepared to give writing news stories her all. With an iron will and a spirit of a tiger, she has her own style of writing unique to her and her only. "So far I loved being in newspaper. I love it because it gives me a voice and I can share what my opinions are.I am also am really excited about the advice section."
Beth Jennings
Beth is an 8th grader who was on our newspaper last trimester, and she seems eager to get back to work on a new story she has been working on. An energetic girl, she has made several stories for our paper, delivering them like hot cakes. Examples of her work are "Post-Dance" and "8th Graders Going to High School."
Casmira Johnson
Casmira, a young woman with an opinion that expands to the stars above. She can go above and beyond with her thoughts translated into opinion pieces, with blog posts such as "You Are What You Eat" and "The Gum Conspiracy." When asked on how she feels about being on the newspaper again, she says this. "This is my second time being on newspaper and I’m enjoying it even more! I have always liked to write and express my opinion to people. I really like newspaper and I’m sure you would like it too."
Kat Leahy
You all remember the Episodic Story: "Everything Bad" don't you? For that, you can thank Kat Leahy. She is said author of that story and was a main editor last trimester, so she is seasoned at editing and giving tips. She will make tears fall once again this trimester, as a new story is going to come with a new heroine in "Memory Loss." How she feels about being on the newspaper? This is what she says. “I love being on the newspaper! It is so much fun because I’ve always loved to write and such. I was in newspaper last trimester and I’ve learned a lot about how to write to an audience. It’s a really fun and cool class and I would definitely suggest it.”
Monika Lopez-Agulair
Monika, a lady with a new start in the newspaper committee. Her fresh start will begin with a continuation of Ryann Citro-Hough's new story "South Bay... Then..." What she thinks of the newpaper, "This is my first trimester in newspaper and I like it so far. I think it's great and I had fun writing my first story! I'm glad I got it as an elective this trimester."
We'll miss you, Ashleigh Meyers!
Ashleigh Meyers was assigned to be in this elective again this trimester, but unfortunately had to move away with her father, the superintendent, to Bakersfield. She was a valuable member on our crew, and we'll miss her! "I am so glad to be on the newspaper again. "I loved it last trimester and I’m going to miss it when I go. It’s been fun writing stories and finding positive poems, sayings, etc. to perk everyone’s day up."
Caitlyn Nolen
Caitlyn Nolen is a perky young woman in our 7th grade division. Another new one picked up to join the crew, her exuberance rubs off on everyone and into her stories. How does she feel about being on the newspaper? She says, "I love it! I’m so glad I got newspaper this trimester! I like being able to share about what I think needs improvement in the world and the school!"
Sage Stanton
Sage is another newbie in our small classroom of newsies, and she wants to give it her all. "I love newspaper, it’s amazing! I am so glad I get to be a part of the crew! I love to write about my opinion and keep people updated about the newest news!" Determination and a bit of creativity, she definitely ready to go. We are looking forward to seeing what she can do.

is one of the veterans on the newspaper team and with the removal of Jace Bollmann, now the only boy! Commonly working with computer tech and layout editing. Being the writer of "8th Grade Fashion" James wants to expand his skills to the newspaper, one of his favorite classes this year. " I feel like I can apply myself even more in the newspaper and make it as good as possible. It's a nice feeling, knowing you are one of the people who made something that has never been made before in the history of South Bay.
